Hello! My name is Jenna Rankin and I would love to be your counselor.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in the state of North Carolina. I am passionate about helping people who are going through life transitions and working to navigate their next steps and discover their true selves. I am particularly passionate about working with military spouses and family members as they manage to support their loved ones while also focus on their own personal identity and well-being. My personal experience as a military spouse has allowed me to navigate my own identity over time and work through the struggles and rollercoaster ride of military life.
I offer online therapy to adults of all ages with concerns surrounding mental health. These can include, but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, identity formation, career and professional stress, college student stress or concerns, military lifestyle concerns, major life transitions, and addictions related concerns.
My personal interests include trying new recipes, spending time outdoors, playing with my dogs, DIY home projects, reading and watching reality TV. I understand that one’s racial and ethnic background have a unique impact and acknowledge that I do not know everything. I am always working to recognize any personal biases I may have and continue to contribute to my personal and professional growth in that area.
I earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as a Graduate Certificate in Addictions Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA #A16234) approved by the Board of North Carolina Professional Counselors, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC #1405923) credentialed by the National Board of Certified Counselors. I am currently working under the supervision of Charlamane Suggs, MA Ed., LCMHCS, NCC.
